The service
The Shortlist helps you discover job listings, track applications, generate tailored résumés and cover letters, and optionally sync status updates from your Gmail inbox. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Your account
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You may not use the service for unlawful purposes or to access data you do not own.
Your content
You retain ownership of résumés, cover letters, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you.
Gmail connection
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect, you authorize read-only access as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access other users’ data.
- Do not abuse rate limits, scrape the service, or interfere with its operation.
- Do not use automated means to create accounts without permission.
Disclaimer
We do not guarantee job outcomes, interview offers, or accuracy of scraped job listings or AI-generated documents. You are responsible for reviewing materials before submitting them to employers.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date.
